How We Gather

Volunteer

Find Your Team

Volunteering is an essential part of how we gather differently at KMCC. Through volunteering, you'll get to meet new people, utilize your unique abilities (Yes, you do have them!), and contribute to the overall impact of the local church.

Nine teams, hundreds of roles to fill, and endless possibilities. Here’s a list of the different teams we have and a short description of what each team is about. Now all you have to do is pick one and join one!

It’s not a lifelong commitment, that’s why we say “try a team”! (You can even try more than one to see what’s best for you.)

Kids

Do you have a heart to serve families in a fun and creative way? Then our Kids team is for you! Whether it’s holding babies, welcoming new families, helping during the week, or serving in one of our 15+ roles, there is an impactful place for you.

Students

This team creates a fun, engaging, and authentic weekly environment where middle and high school students can experience Jesus in a real and exciting way.

Women’s Ministry

Help create opportunities for women to grow in their faith and build meaningful relationships. Opportunities may include assisting with Bible studies, events, hospitality, communication, and prayer.

Connect Groups

If you consider yourself a “people person,” then this is the team for you! Our goal is to make everyone who walks through our doors feel welcomed, seen, and at home at KMCC.

Hospitality

This team is all about helping others! Whether that means making coffee, helping at the Store, welcoming guests, or assisting with special events during the week, there is a place for you.

Production

Our lights and sound don’t work themselves! This team creates an engaging atmosphere every weekend through audio, lighting, video, and livestream production for guests in the Auditorium and viewers online.

Operations

The Operations team includes Safety, Set-Up and Tear-Down, and Parking. These volunteers aren’t afraid of hard work and love serving behind the scenes to make every church experience possible.

Communications

This team is dedicated to communicating the vision of KMCC through photography. We’d love your help capturing meaningful moments and sharing the story of what God is doing in our church.

Grounds & Maintenance

Goodfellas is what we call our grounds and maintenance team—no Italian connections required. If you can mow, mulch, plant, pull weeds, or know which end of a rake to hold, help us keep the KMCC campus looking sharp!

Not sure where you fit? Explore different opportunities, discover what you enjoy, and find the place where your gifts can make the biggest impact.

Baptism

Going Public

Getting baptized is often a topic of much debate. Not so much between you and another person, but mostly it can be an inner conversation filled with dialog like; “Am I good enough?”,  “I should probably know more before I go public.”, “I still need some time to figure this whole thing out.”, or even “Once I can convince my family to come and support me, I’ll get baptized.”

Here’s the deal, those are all valid thoughts. It seems like there can many factors that influence our decision about when to go public with our faith in Jesus. However, when we look to the Bible, specifically in Acts, we can see that the model given to us about baptism is simple; believe and be baptized.
