About Jesus

Everything we believe centers on Jesus Christ. Who He is, what He has done, and how we respond to Him shape our faith, our relationships, and the way we live.

About the Word of God

We believe the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God. They are without error in the original writings, reveal God’s will for the salvation of all people, and are the final authority for Christian faith and life.

About the Trinity

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

About the Father

We believe in God the Father, an infinite and personal Spirit who is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He actively and mercifully intervenes in human lives, hears and answers prayer, and seeks to reconcile His creation to Himself. He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

About the Son

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and now serves as our High Priest and Advocate at the right hand of the Father.

About the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son. His primary ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit convicts unbelievers of their need for Christ, gives new birth to those who believe, and indwells, sanctifies, leads, teaches, and empowers believers for godly living and service.

We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit continues to be as broad, tangible, and powerful among believers today as it was in the early Church. The biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit continue to be distributed by the Spirit today. These gifts are for spiritual growth and effective ministry and should be eagerly desired, faithfully developed, and lovingly exercised according to biblical guidelines.

About Humanity

We believe God created humanity in His image. Humanity is sinful by nature and by choice and is therefore spiritually dead and separated from God. Those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are born again to new life through the Holy Spirit.

About Christ’s Return

We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. His promised return is our future hope and should shape how every believer lives and serves today.

Until Christ returns and brings His Kingdom in its fullness, we are called to participate faithfully in the work of His Kingdom here on Earth.

About the Church

We believe the Church is composed of all people who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, are united as the Body of Christ. Jesus Christ is the head of the Church.

About Salvation

We believe salvation is a free gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ and not earned through human merit, works, or rituals.

The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for the forgiveness of sins. All who receive Jesus Christ are born of the Spirit, become children of God, and receive eternal life.

About the Resurrection

We believe Jesus Christ truly overcame death by being raised to life on the third day.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead: believers to everlasting joy with the Lord and unbelievers to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.

About the Kingdom of God

We believe the Kingdom of God came through the ministry of Jesus Christ and continues to advance through the ministry of the Holy Spirit working through Christ’s redeemed community, the Church.

The Kingdom will be fully realized when Jesus Christ returns.

About Christian Responsibility

We believe every believer’s highest priority is to love God with all that we are and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Luke 10:27).

We fulfill these commandments by glorifying God, enjoying Him, and obeying the Great Commission to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).

These priorities call us to live according to the truth of God’s Word and depend daily upon the power of His Spirit.

About Baptism

Baptism symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. After placing our faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, baptism allows us to publicly declare our new life in Christ.

Baptism is also a step of obedience to God’s command and follows the example of Jesus, who submitted Himself to baptism to “fulfill all righteousness” (Matthew 3:15).

About Communion

In communion, we remember Jesus and thank Him for sacrificing His body and shedding His blood for us.

If you are still figuring out who Jesus is, you never need to fake it at KMCC. We simply ask you to wait until you are ready to understand and embrace what these symbols mean.

Before receiving communion, take time to examine your heart, confess sin, pursue reconciliation, and remember Christ’s sacrifice.

On the night He was betrayed, Jesus took the bread and the cup and instructed His followers to receive them in remembrance of Him (1 Corinthians 11:23–34).
